Default Tire change ?

How hard / detailed is it to pull the front and rear tire on a FXST ?

Ordered some WW tires for the scooter but never changed a bike tire and did not know if there any tricks to it . I am mechanically inclined just like to ask first . Its gotta be easier than doing the aps and fenders .

Also for mount and balance what does HD normal charge if i bring in the wheels . I dont know of any local guys yet .

Thanks

If you remove the wheels yourself you should be able to get a shop to do it for around $30 each. It's pretty hard to do yourself without some of the right tools. Balance isn't a great big issue on 'cruisers' since the speed isn't that great anyway. Years ago we never even checked the balance and never had a problem.

Getting them off is easy. It helps to have someone help to put the rear back on.

I will check video when I go home, but your service manual is your guide, I am a nerd, complete geek, inclined to destroy anything , and I can remove the front wheel under 30 min using service manual.
Just remember to mark your spacers left and right, they are not equal in size, do not ask me how I know, remember, I destroy things, , one of them was a front rotor LOL
