Ok, back in August when i joined the forum, i went on about how i hadn't owned a scoot in 29 years...then in june i picked up a 2000 UC. i posted about finally getting the wife to ride with me and I thought I might have "released the Beast"...She's was wanting a trike, then she decided she wants to try 2 wheels...Well we're at a local Indy shop about 2 weeks ago looking around and there in all it's glory sets a 2002 Fatboy, Vivid Black. She sets on it and the seat is so comfortable that she raves about it. Then the guy starts it up.. well it's carberated not EFI and when he pushes the choke in this thing just LOPES>>>>>>>>MAN it sounds good, Well, she is in love!!!. She's been back to show it to some of her friends. Was setting in town a few days after she had gone out to look at it again and here comes some guy on one that looks just like it and sounds like it. she almost broke her neck looking and when she thought it was the one she was looking at, she had a look on her face like someone had just run over her puppy...It wasn't the same one since she had me go by and check. Well i said all that to say this...Yesterday morning i went and bought the Fatboy and will stick it under the tree come Christmas Morning......She'll have to take the MCS course before she can ride it, so NOW I'VE GOT 2 to ride for a little while.......

Best thing about the wife or girlfriend having her own is that you always have a bike to ride, even if it's 2up. Much easier to rip into one for a project or ship one of the bikes to another island for a rally when you know there's still one available to ride in the meantime.

The happiest day of my life was when my ol lady said she wanted to ride her own. The rest is history.

Now theres three things you have to get straight with her. She washes hers, she polishes her own chrome, and she works on her own! There aint no such thing as a honeydo when it comes to the bike.

BTW, its Buckwheat. But then, I aint normal.
