I"ve got an 02 HER. the light on the rear fender tip is burned out, does anyone know which AUTOMOTIVE light bulb would work? The auto bulbs come in 1-2-3 candle power, any cross reference # would help, my book shows Harley part # 53439-79 what AUTO bulb would replace that?? thanks

 

Wow learned something new today. I didn`t know that the wedge bulb came in different sizes I thought they were all the same . I`d just grab a new one and put it in .

 

I know, i'd never heard small lights refered to as candle power ratings myself, but that's what the napa guy said. we'll see.

 

I'm jealous - in England it's not legal to ride with fender tip lamps[:@] - Don't ask, I don't know either!

UK-spec Harleys come without a lamp but with just a chrome piece in its place.

 

i didn't know there were different ones either?i use #194 auto bulbs.thats a cdn #.hope it helps.

 

Glad to see some #s thanks but, i looked at the stock Harley bulb, the bottom has a little "nipple" on the end, it appears to be at a slight angle no less, the auto bulb i tried was straight on the end, and, of course would not go in the female part of the bulb plugin. I'll try your number bulb though, thanks
