Default Adjustable push rods Stock covers?

I have adjustable push rods but stock covers. How difficult is it to adjust them without going to the shorter covers, I am swapping cams? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Bent paper clips, rubber bands, and a set of skinny wrenches will do it. But it doesnt hurt to have a third arm or competent helper either, but that applies to any pushrod adjustment.

It's a PITA; hope you only have to adjust them once.

Are you swapping cams out now? If you have to take it apart, spring for the new covers.

Not necessarily. Although you might find its faster (and easier) to pull the tank and the rocker box covers.

The shorter pushrod tubes will give you a lot more room to make the adjustments without pullin the top off the motor. If you really want to keep the stockers, you'll wish you had...

With my Smith Bros. pushers, it was impossible. I had to get help. For future reference, which shorter covers can you buy in case I need to do this again? Hope this isn't a hijack. Thanks.

There are different sets. I was hoping someone had an easier way and I wouldn't have to buy them.
