Default New Biltwell DOT

Well i thought i would post this in the softail section also....since i hang here 99.99% of the time.
I sure dig all my lids, and guess what Biltwell finally just came out with thier new DOT lid. Finally!!!! On thier FB page they say it about the size of a Fulmer V2. Priced at $99.00 isn't a bad deal either. http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php...duct_list&c=32

I already have a Fulmer V2 or I would pick one of these up. As it stands my Fulmer has been worn a handful of times in well over a year. I prefer my half helmet and unless it is freezing, the Fulmer stays at home. But...I might be leaving the house at 6am tomorrow for a nice long ride, and if i do I will be wearing the Fulmer...It is cold at that hour, I mean not even 60 out yet.

I couldn't stand my Fulmer V2 at all... It squeezed my face/jaw.... So i 86ed it. uuu... bye bye...

I will probably pick up one of these Biltwells... I just hope they aren't fitted like a Fulmer V2.

I wear several different style lids also...

I gotta Biltwell...don't wear it often but when I do it's cool. IMHO, it's the most comfortable, best fitting "non-vintage" vintage helmet .

Interested to see how much bigger, if any, the DOT version will be. Looking forward to the comparison.

If I had the time, I'd hit the swap meets for six months straight, find the perfect fitting OG vintage 3/4 hemlet, and just have it relined (or buy one that has been relined), IMHO the OG 3/4 vintage helmets fit and look the best. It's just a pain in the *** searching for the right size, then the right color, and then the right price. Those helmets are getting expensive at the swap!...and, all the dudes riding Triumphs and old Iron (knuckles, Pans, Shovels) are good at snatching them up quick.

But for "NOS", to put it in old car parts terms, the Biltwell is the bomb.

Looks pretty nice. I normally wear my half helmet but I hate the swirling wind noise I get. Maybe this helmet would help with that.
