Default Going solo seat on a Deluxe?

I took my seats off yesterday to condition the leather and I only put the main seat back on and stepped back and thought it looked pretty good....but the stock sea seemed a little "thick"...like the seat didn't flow without the rear seat. The other thing to consider is the factory luggage rack. I;ve seen a solo seat with the rack on...and off.

The main question is what seat would look best going solo? I looked into Lepera Bar and Mustang, but I was wondering if I can get some real world opinions on a good looking and comfortable solo seat.

I've had a few seats on my 2002 softail. Le Pera, Corbin and a couple of no name brands. I like the look of the 1999 stock solo seat but it was too wide for my taste. Since it has a plastic pan, I was able to trim 1.5" off each side and trim down the padding with an electric craving knife. I put a little softer foam back on top and stapled the cover back on. Sleek and comfortable.
The only other setup I still consider today is the leather bucket seat with the springs.
Good luck.

Dito on the C&C seat. Mine mounts up just like your deluxe does with the bracket on the rear. Perfect fit.

Whatever you decide, I can get you the seat at a discount. LaPera, C&C, Mustang, etc...

Had a Danny Grey on my 2006 Deuce and it looked great but was like sitting on a brick. Had to stop almost every 100 miles.

Going to go with the C&C this time for the fatboy. There prices look good and from what I have seen/read they are worth the money.
Here is there linkie....

Talk to Drew for prices....

Either way you go you will be happy. My seat was one of my best purchases so far.

I'm liking the Lepera, but I want to do white stitching and piping....does the bare bones mount like the stock seat?
I'm gonna call them tomorrow.
