that has a ground point not shown on the larger dia black piece it may not work. There is no step on the one on your bike. I agree with others if your not going to use it take it off and just use a tender lead.

Don't confuse the term Cigarette Lighter Plug, it's an accessory plug and could be handy for use in a lot of ways. However this type of plug is NOT designed to use with a heating element that is found in older cars for the cigarette lighters. Just the name of a common 12 volt accessory plug. It can be used to charge the battery, I wouldn't use it for jump starting purposes.

Many chargers come with additional connections for maintenance purposes and you can place them permanently on the battery and leave that plug where it can be easily connected and disconnected. Most use a simple 2 pin flat plug.
