You just need louder pipes and the sound will go away...

I definitely appreciate all the info you guys.
I think I will just ride it till it gets cold, save a little money and hope Santa does me right and do some upgrading till the snow melts and the birds start chirping again.
My biggest fear was the stuff I had read about the bearings failing and eating up an entire motor.

By the way DD, those road king bags look nice.
I've never actually seen a softail with the classic bags, only the custom (like mine) or the hard bags..
