I have adeluxe and I be 6 foots and 200 lbs with stock seat and it fills good to me. But ifn I was gonna buy another HD today it would be a Fat Boy. I like the fill of it the best of all of them. Yu just need to try them all out first and decide for your self.[8D]

remember the Heritage has all them damn spots.
Spots drive me nuts!!!
Chrome spots rock! Really, I didn't like them at first, but now I think they make the bike. I added the chrome spotted passanger pillion, Heritage tour pack (with chrome spots), tank cover with chrome spots, and passanger backrest with chrome spots. I've kinda run out of places to put chrome spots, so I've been looking for a chrome spotted helmet, jacket and chaps. Any body out there got chrome spotted helmet, jacket and chaps? Oh, my wife has a helmet and chaps with the chrome spots.

I'm 6'2", 200 lbs, and my Deuce fits me fine (ditched the stock seat after 7 miles - the distance from my dealer to my house) for a Corbin.

I am currently looking at a deluxe for my wife the bike fits her perfectly 5/10 height , the dealer told me they are marketing these toward the women riders , shure would like to get her that over a sportster because I could use it when she's not.

Hey all. I am in the proces of ordering my first harley. Now my predicament is i cant decide for the life of me what i want. I have driven the heritage softail classic and the flhx which i thought both were great. My buddy told me i look big on the heritage. I am 6 foot 220 lbs. I really like the look of the deluxe (nostalgic) but again was told by many people i am to big for it. I did find the seat on the deluxe is uncomfortable, but thats an easy fix. I also find the deluxe has nicer signals, tailamp, forks and whitewalls. now here are my questions

1 what is the rise on the classics bars
2 how do you bigger fellows feel on the deluxe
3 how do you bigger fellows feel on the classic
4 if i wanted to put 12.5 or 16 inch apes on the classic what is required
5 what seat (solo) do you guys recommend for the deluxe to move me back.
6 i would want whitewall tires, 12.5 or 16 inch apes, bags for longer trips only, backrest and passenger seat for wife a few times a year, tombstone taillamp, the smaller signals, and windshield for longer trips. which would be the cheapest route to take. modify classic or modify deluxe.

any opinions would be great. thanks. oh ya flhx is awesome hands down. i am just not sure if i need a touring yet.

I am 6'0" weigh 200 lbs and it (FKSTCI) fits me fine. I have ridden 400+ miles in a day on the stock seat and I am fine with it for now. No back problems. I rented before I bought and started with the flstc until an electrical problem killed it. They then brought me a Deluxe for the remainder of the weekend and the FLSTCI was much more comfortable for me. They are both great bikes.

6 foot and 220 lbs. hell buddy - you just a little turd - I would suggest stay off the sportster and everything else will be just fine - I am 6'4" - 250lbs and ride a Deuce - test ride what you want - buy what you like!!

I never have problems deciding which bike I like, I just buy it and let the details work themselves out. You are thinking too hard and too much, just go with the one you can't stop looking at!

I personally would not make the decision based on how I thought I would look on it. I would first define how I want to use the bike. If your desire is to primaily tour out on the road, I would look real hard at the FLH. You can still go out on the road with a Deluxe, but if you're going to be out there a lot, go FLH. If you think you are primarily going to be an "around the town" driver with some road trips, then the deluxe is fine.
