New front end for my rocker? input please
#11
Hey Joe, I hear that but I'm thinkin that with the fatter front end the actual gap inside the forks will remain around the same as I have coz the tubes are thicker(if ya get my drift)... I know I will have to change the fender so I'm thinking that if I go 4 one that wraps around a bit more it may hide the gap too...

Hey guys. The rake is 5° the length ended up being
-1 inch undet stock which is nice if the bike is lowered.
I didn't pay much attention to rake and trail numbers
I just did it. I've had no issues with handling at any
speeds. Have rode for long distances two up and
handles like a champ. The only thing with this particular
frontend it is a little stiff, but that's my only complain.
its an ultima 58mm inverted. For the price you can't go
wrong.

So you have ended up with a 42 degree rake?

We've been looking at the same things my friend. I've got a new focus and obsession with the puny frontend on the Rockers, being the next worse thing outside the seat. I've got my Rocker right out on my back porch right now....and as I type this and look out the window at the bike....the frontend will be gone soon. I'm also a fan of a beefier frontend and Meanstreet frontends are exactly what i'm looking for, little pricey, but, hey....
ARE YOU GOING +0, 3, 5, 7 at all??? I'm thinking +5 right now, but possibly +7...don't want to get carried away though and lose my rake/trail.
that being said....this calcualator...i'm having problems
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/rakeandtrail.html
I dont exactly know the EXACT triple clamp offset for the Rocker
-front tire diameter iv'e got the Rocker around 25.83...somewhere close
-frame rake @ 36.5
-32 in forks
-triple tree rake @ +1
BUT.....i got problems, i've plugged in alot of different numbers and haven't got the stock Rockers advertised Rake/trail @ 6.20....i'm not getting that
so if someone would like to break it down the Rockers exact dimensions with some proof rather than just talking i'd like to see it. It would help out me & this guys looking at new front ends for sure..
also, maybe thinking about lowering the rear/ raising the front mixes to help out the drivability...rake/trail
thanks
and to Rocker Dan, my fault for hijacking, but, this should help us both, look fwd to seeing how and what we get done!
JOE WHAT may be the only guy on the forum right now I know as a Rocker owner has swapped his frontend and went +5 ....... JOE WHAT YOU GOT?

Ok so I'm kettin closer to making a choice...
price/value I'm leaning towards this one http://www.viciouscycleworks.us/khxc...eansteet1.html
So because the rockers front wheel is not centered will it be simply the case of machining up some spacers to work with the new front end?
Joe, did u center your front wheel?
