While were on the topic of oil, which oil is best??? j/k...please dont answer!

Im sure this will not turn into the great oil debate but looks like it might be a second place winner.

Its exactly what you're doing if you don't scavenge when you change oil.

i guess while your at it you could pull the cam cover and pour the extra outta there that the other plug doesnt get out and also take the valve covers off and get the puddles outta there also. I guess it just depends on how **** a person gets on getting all the oil out to me the risk/reward isnt worth pulling the plug

Did the same thing for my first change. I did all 3 holes and pulled the pipe plug. No issues here either but I will not pull it again.

Dont pull the pipe plug at the bottom of the the crank case. it only empties the sump and if everythis is working correctly you will only get a couple of ounces at most out. You do run the risk of cracking the cases when you install or creating a small leak so its not worth pulling it.

Default oil change

about 28 ounces is left behind in the sump. check out the scavenger on line for removing the oil from the sump. There are also a few articles on how to make a device for clearing the sump on this forum
