For the past 2 days it feels as if the back end of the bike wants to break loose around a curve or corner. When I weave the bike left to right on a straight I get the same feeling. I checked the tire pressure - good, checked the shocks - no loose bolts.

It's hard to explain but the rear end feels "loose" whenever the bike goes into any kind of lean.

Suggestions on what else to look for?

 

I once had that problem it turned out to be a cracked wheel. the wheel was billet. If urs is spoke loose spokes maybe. or it could be a wheel bearing.

 

Might be the preload needs adjusting some for your weight. Has it ever been adjusted? I just had the ride height tweaked on my bike and it made a world of difference. It has a lowering kit on it from the PO and I was bottoming out two up. Took it to indy who raised it about a 1/2" he said. I believe the shocks themselves are set at factory "full soft" setting but that 1/2 inch made a world of difference in the feel of the bike through turns. She feels more planted now and much more confident in the curves. Just a thought.
