Changing Riser Bushings-Fatboy 2004
#11
I finished changing to the poly just a few minutes ago and did it without taking the tins off. A little frustrating but not bad. The result is that the bars are still off. The right hand (throttle) grip is behind the left grip. This is really irritating.
I think there are risers that leave a little play in the bolt so that you can make an adjustment. There's an aftermarket supplier called Scootworks and they advertised these type of risers. Anyone ever tried these?

I think the stock risers are machined off a bit and possibly the holes in the top tree are off a bit too.
I've since replaced it all with the HD Street Slammer bars (T-bars) and poly bushings, everything is straight now.

My bars were uneven from the factory, I tried loosening the bolts, adjusting the risers, retorqued everything, still crooked

I was expecting the bolts to be knuckle busters like the shock bolts were but they came out quite easily.
