Have you checked out the latest edition of Hot Bike? There is an article in there where they made a fat bagger. It was done for someone in the National Guard. They used the bad dad bags on there.
The main reason I am thinking bags is that I am now offering cycle consultations at your palce of work, home or place of your choosing and all those catalogs are heavy and take up a lot of space. Otherwise, I am good.
ipad loaded with a pdf of the catalogs will save space and weight.

Reason: NSF
Road King Custom Saddlebags on my Fattie with the Bagger Tail conversion.
I can literally get this setup off my bike in 10 minutes and be back to regular fatboy.
Not quick detach, but how long does it take to pull out four strut bolts and 2 behind the passenger footpeg.
I really like the HD hard bags too, but I just felt like the leather RK bags fit my look better.
Very clean - sent you a PM - looking into doing the same.
NorCalDog I would like to see more pics of your Fatboy asI was headed in the same kind of direction with mine.
thought about doing the stretched thing initially, but decided against it as i ride ALOT of twisties, & park it up against alot of curbs of varying heights
