Sorry to ask such a silly question but what is the diameter of the two frame tubes that come down from the fork tube towards the foot beds on a 2006 FLST? These are the two tubes which sandwich the regulator/rectifier and to which an engine guard is attached. I eyeballed/measured mine with a ruler and they appear to be 1-1/4" but a website selling cable clamps says that '01 and newer softails have 1-1/8 frame tubes. Admittedly, it is not trivial to eyeball/measure the frame diameter. Can you help me on this?

Second question - I am planning to buy Magnum Sterling Chromite II cables. What is the outer diameter of these cables so that I can determine if they will fit into the cable clamps? I'm probably blind but can't find this info on the Magnum website. Thanks.

99.5 percent sure they are 1.25".

I measured mine and it is 1 1/8".
