Default pipes

I also like true duals..... I saw a fatboy with them and it looked old school.

Agreed, samson fishtails are the best...

Although I'm going to put some cycle shack turnouts on my '08 heritage...

I rode my present bike with stock pipes for three years before choosing. I had an idea what I liked by seeing photoraphs but still wanted to make this purchase once, so I waited till I happened to see both sets I liked at a rally parked near each other and made vissual and sound comparisons. Pipes where ordered within a week and I finally shutup my badgering friends.

I decided I wanted slipons that were fairly invisible, so I chose some D & D slipons that are only 2 1/2" diameter. They look like straight pipes. As far as sound...hell, it's a harley f'n davidson, the only way it'll sound bad is to leave the OEM mufflers on.

Don't overthink it. Put on what you like and enjoy it.

I determined what I wanted by the look I wanted to achieve on my bike. I like the retro look so I went with true duals. I researched the forum for pics to see look different manufacturers and what each member has said about quality. This is a great forum.....
