Default Thinking of opening a used bike dealership

I've been thinking of opening a used bike dealership that provides financing as I find in my own experience that new bike dealerships, especially HD are ripping off people and some people who could otherwise have no problem making a fair payment are not able to buy because finance rates through HD are too high. You think this is a good idea or are people too sleezy to trust, and you think I'll get ripped off having to chase my bikes all over the place to repo?

Had one where I live it was called "Hardly used Harley's". He did pretty good until the economy tanked. Last time I went by there it was a used car lot. Guess it depends on where you are and what kind of demand there is. Don't really know anything about it. Guess I'm just trying to get my post count up with this response

I think you can do realy good. As long as you run a fair credit check and keep your over head low, you would do great...

Keep priced low when you buy and require a large down payment and when they are late on a payment repo the bike and start process over. I have a friend who owns a buy here pay here motorcycle and car lot and makes a TON of money doing it.

maybe look into getting a 3rd party company to do the financing . you'll probably think they charge too much just like HD does , but the reason for that is the % of defaults is high and you have to charge everybody else extra to make up for it .
