Default Axle Nut Size

I have an 09 Heritage Classic and I'm going to be doing my first tire change tomorrow. I believe that 36 MM is the size of the rear Axle nut but before I go out and buy one could some one please confirm this for me.

Also any gotchas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Yup, is a 36 mm. Check to see if the bolts holding the rear brake are still the 12 point ones! On my 2009 Xb, they are Torx, contrary to what it says in the manual.

Nope, just tried, the 1 1/4 will not fit.

The stop the axle from turning, you will need a 1 1/8 wrench to hold it on the other side.
