Default Service manual question

I recently purchased an 08 Fatboy and I like having a factory service manual for everything I own. I found plenty of them on ebay, but they have two slightly different numbers. Some are 99482-08, and some are the same number with an A on the end, 99482-08A. Does anyone happen to know the difference in these manuals. I'm guessing the A is maybe an updated version, but would really like to know before I buy one. Thanks,
Darrell

Hopefully "B" indicates and even more undated version than "a" cause I just ordered a "B" parts manual. Just fyi my 08 service manual (99482-08) which I bought back in 08 has no letter designation after it. You'll be glad you got it.

I ordered the parts manual because I've needed that darn near as much as I have the service manual. Real pita to find parts numbers and schematics for the bike. Would've saved me alot of time and money if I had bought one 3 years ago.

We do not allow posting of links to illegal downloads. HD does not provide manuals for free download.

Cracks me up that guys will spend 10K plus on motorcycles and quibble over $60 bucks for a manual from Harley. Even worse those that bootleg the documents and get others to pay the $60 bucks for them $5 dollars at a time for bootlegged down loads. As noted, HD doesn't give the manuals away and it is copyrighted material. To distribute copies violates copyright laws. Glad the site doesn't condone that...

If a few bucks for a manual to maintain your ride tips your wagon over maybe you should go play golf. Probably couldn't afford the parts to maintain it either.

I totally agree. What is the issue of paying $60.00 for a legal copy of the service manual on a 10K+ bike you bought. Your just stealing profits from HD.

What's more pathetic are those who don't even have an owners manual which shows, among hundreds of other essential data, all the service required, and what intervals. I believe you can get free downloads on these, legally.

The Dyna service manual, for example, covers all Dyna models, and includes full electrical schematics. It goes hand in hand w/ the parts manual, which contains very useful exploded views, not just part numbers.
