Pipes are soooooo personal... Thats why when some Newbies in here ask "Whats the best Pipes" questions, I just tighten up...

U have to like there LOOKs.
U have to like there SOUND.
U hope the ones U pick at least let U gain some performance over the ones U have now.

Some are bad A$$ looking but are not the best Performance and some of the best Performance pipes look,,, (well crappy..IMO).. Thunder Headers/ SupperTrapp come to mind, but U cant deny that they are two really great systems when it comes to making TQ and HP..

Personal likes and dislikes plus wants and needs it how we choose our pipes.

I personal know I left probably 2-5 #'s of TQ on the table by staying with stock headers and the Rush slip-ons over what I'd get with some good 2-1 Exhaust system.
But I like the sound and looks of them and I am not unhappy with the performance since I've added the Andrews 26 cams.

They (cams) really made a big difference in the low end which is where Grandma and I spend most of our riding time. Under 3500rpm's, plus we now get better Mileage and the motor oil is cooler. Now its usually 210-215 while riding. Used to be 240-245 or so before Stg1 and cams.

I also change to Mobil1 vtwin 20-50 in the motor and primary and Mobil1 75-90 GL in the tranny this Yr. I've tried several different oil combo's in the past and IMO Mobil1 is overall the oil that gives me the smoothest and easy shifting and will use these oils from now on.

The 75-90GL in the tranny is fine for INDIANA temps, and there is no 5th gear whine. It doenn't get as hot here as other parts of the country. I tried the 75-140, but it shifts really stiff when it gets below 70* for the first 15minutes or so. More if its only 55*-60* outside temp.
