Default How many miles per tank do you get?

I just got rid of my old stroker evo and rode home on this 06 heritage, it has a stage 1 kit with vance and hines longshots and I am pretty sure the baffles have been removed. At about 85-90 miles the low fuel light came on. Does this sound reasonable? It was a bit windy and the bike has a windshield so I was just wondering what other people can squeeze out of a tank. It seems like my old bike was a bit better and usually did approx 50 mpg when I calculated, thanks.

I have an 09 Heritage and it gets 40 mpg which would mean about 200 miles per tank. The light on mine comes on with 1 gallon of fuel left, so something is definitely wrong with your mpg figure.

01 Carb, Doherty Power pacc air cleaner + Dyno Jet carb kit + SE II ..
Country roads I get around 45MPG, City /hwy mix around 40.
I do not think I have fuel light but it comes close to 'E' at around 300Km or 180 Miles.

NOTE : I fill up probably more than most as my bike is lowered front and rear, stock kickstand keeps it upright, so it is easy for me to add more gas, actually, I sometimes over-fill, and gas will over flow if I did not ride the bike for at least a couple of miles right off.

Mmm... did we spot a sportster rider in this forum ?

Just kidding man, but curious, about your setup ? this is quite high, where do you live ? weather ? you seem to be running a super lean setup.

08....~210 per tank. Light comes on ~170 or so and I have 1 gallon left, and I average about 42 MPG.

'03 Deuce, 95" w/cams exhaust etc, carbed. Depends on riding conditions but around town, 40-45, and highway 45-50. I have actually seen over 50, but that was at a pretty strick pace of 55-60 mph. I usually roll quite a bit faster!

My wifes '08 Deluxe gets about 190 miles per tank city and about 220 on the highway.

My '10 Lo gets about 170 in the city and about 200 on the highway. As you can see...I ride a little differently than she does. Both have the same engine and tank size.
