The bar are Cycle Smith 1 1/4" bars mounted on the original Deluxe risers. I got the bars from J&P Cycles. The Exhaust is Road House Brand pipes, I got them from Cycle Shop USA. As for the plate I fabricated a stainless steel bracket mounted to the inner fender stiffener on two fingers. I also have an LED plate light that is wired into the original plate light socket. I love this bike! Just installed a Terry's Components Terminal VelocityII .

ORIGINAL: Whiffleboy

Hi Softail guys...

I was just explaining to a buddy of mine who is considering a Deluxe that, it had always been a Deluxe for me, if any HD. However, when it came time to finally purchase a Harley, I saw the Denim Bob and all bets were off. Didn't even have a second thought. The Night Train - the only Softy similar - just didn't do it for me. I think it's that my Dyna gives me a nostalgic 70s vibe that I can relate to more than the classic 40s/50s vibe of the Deluxe. Don't get me wrong...the Deluxe is beautiful. Aesthetically, though, the Street Bob appeals to me more. Now, if they came out with a Softail Bobber with a low back end...[&:]

Whiff

Yeah.. Very cool.. (fatboy owner here).. But it's an interesting variation on a theme. Funny how two hogs can be so entirely different. I dig your bob.. words come to mind "tough", "unpretentious".. Just plain machine, without the fluff.. just ride. I like it. I'm also crazy about the colorful nostalgic look of that deluxe.. Dang.. I gotta get a bigger garage for my everchanging tastes.

Agreed.. That's a very cool exhaust setup. Checked out their site.. They say no remap or rejet required.. which implies they're close to stock.. They have good soundclips of other bikes but no Harleys.. They need some sure enough hog soundclips. How do they sound/perform?

Sorry not to detract from the "sharing the love for Deluxes topic"

No I know.....I dont want to get the stage 1 download or the high flow filter....I just want the cover...anyone know if it will work with the stock filter. The harley catalog is a bit vague about it.
