Default Change brake pads-04 heritage

I need to put new pads on.What size sockets do I need?It looks like they are 12 point?
Metric or standard?
I do all my own wrenching, but this is my first time with the brakes.Any advice accepted.

I just did the pads on my 07 SG and used a 1/4" 12 pt on the pad pins and 10mm 12 pt on the mounting bolts. Go figure.

Front are 10mm 12 pt. The showa forkls are Japanese, and yes that is a metric part.
