Great choice of bike. It's a real go-anywhere, do-anything model. I've had mine all over the U.S. (more than once) and wouldn't have any other model.
Regarding the exhaust, I'd stick with the 1.75" (having tried all sizes at one time or another before going to the Fatcat). They have a nice rumble but aren't obnoxious, which is important on longer rides. Also, they will get louder as the baffle material (which is replaceable) wears out. Good luck with the bike!

Again, thanks to all for the kind comments.
Based on the opinions here I do believe I will go with the 1.75 baffles. I was looking at the stock set up and it looks like I need to remove the chrome covers that are held on with a clamp. Not sure if they will need to go on the new slip-ons or not. Guess I'll find out when I order them.
Thanks again for all the input.

I'm running 1 3/4" baffles and like them a lot. You can remove the covers very easily with a nut driver and put them back when the new mufflers are on. Not hard at all. Make sure to leave a little space where they come in contact with the new mufflers or you'll hear a strange rattle at certain RPMs. Not a big deal though.

i got the 2 inch baffles because i tend to have what they call controlled hearing.they dont sound loud to me but 3 kids ,3 grand kids, and a wife is another story.actually,i have heard the 1 3/4 and 2 inch and i went with 2 inch incase future mods need them.couldnt tell alot of difference in them as far as loudness goes.
