Default Vanes and Hines Slip-ons

Just added some Vance and Hines Slip-ons. Boy I love the sound. I feel like I'm riding a Harley. Next Stage 1 Air Filter (Fuel Moto), and a Vance and Hines fuelpak.

how does it run with just the slip ons? I was thinking about the same set for my lo also. But i would like to keep the rest of the bike stock including the aire cleaner. I really do not want to add a fuel managment device on would rather just bolt on the mufflers and go.....love the look of those mufflers

It runs and sounds great...Took it for about a 10 mile run after the install and it ran great. You can just install the slip-ons no problem.

Those are the 3.5" twin slash ones correct?
How do they sound? Are they loud....or loud enough?
I'm torn like I'm sure you were...do I do the whole system, air cleaner and tune/fuel management? Or would I be happy with just a set of slip ons?

Yes they are the 3.5" twin slash ones, they sound great and I think they are load enough for me. I'm very happy with my decision. On my ride into work, I had a big smile and my coworkers heard me coming.

I considered the slipons...in fact I had them on my Sportster. But the way the stock pipes on the Lo are seperated, it puts the passengers foot between the pipes. That wasn't going to work for me since my wife and kids push their feet in while riding and it was causing them to be on the pipes a lot. I had to go with new pipes entirely just to lower the pipes down under their feet.
