Default Thanks (Again) To Dr. V-Twin

Just want to say thanks to Shawn and Dr. V-Twin for helping out. Great customer service and pricing. And if you should need anything aftermarket for your bike, you'd be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't give him a shot. A little background;

So I'm wasting time this afternoon, and decide to visit an independent shop nearby. Start bullshitting with the owner, and talk turns to saddlebags for my Fatboy. In passing, I said something about Road King Classic bags. He points to his modest showroom and lo and behold, there sits a set of good, Road King Classic leather bags, that just came off his wrenches bike, for $100 bucks. Well, they're not in his showroom anymore.

Thanks again Shawn for giving me the best price on a set of Cyclevision Bagger Tails. I appreciate you working with me. Hell, even the wife is happy. Talk to you tomorrow.

Sounds like you got a great deal on the bags. Congrats! Post some pics once you get it all put together.

I have been wanting to do the same to my ride (but with hard bags) but am unclear on the mounting position of the bags. It seems most bikes I have seen with hard bars had them mounted really high. Someone got hard bag pics on a softail? Post 'em. Hijacked!

thanks so much for your business, we all really appreciate it here at Dr. V-Twin. We work very hard to earn people's business and when someone posts a thank you it makes it all worthwhile. Here I am at 8pm on a Wednesday still working. I have been here since about 6:30am today. I will count my blessings and say that I am glad to have a job I enjoy.

Buddy's Deluxe with Road King bags, mounted with Cycle Vision's Bagger Tail kit. Just followed the instructions to a T -- I think they came out looking great. We're local to you, too, Shawn (beautiful Van Nuys!). We'll stop by one of these days.

I thought about hard bags too, but all the pictures I saw of the setup didn't look right. About 4 weeks ago on a charity run, there was a blue Fatboy with matching hardbags (Road King/Ultra type) mounted on Cyclevisions Bagger Tails. Not mounted real high, and the back of the bags flowed with the rear fender and didn't extend past it. It looked real good and totally changed my opinion on the look.

All I need now is a big pile of cash to make this happen. LOL.

Hey, I posted this thread/thank you awhile ago and nobody noticed it. Not to hijack this thread, but I wanted you guys to know that I also appreciated your help when I bought the amp from you. I know 10 good comments can be wiped out by one negative one, so I want to do my part and post at least one of the positive ones! You guys were great and I'll definitely use you for anything that I need in the future! https://www.hdforums.com/forum/off-t...-dr-vtwin.html
