I am purchasing a 2011 Black Fatboy and thinking about putting Black Cobra® Speedster with PowerPort long straight pipes on it. Anybody have them on theirs...any comments on the pipes?

 

I have Cobra pipes. Although not the Sweeps, I can comment on the quality. If you are looking for the very best in quality I would look else where. I owned VH and they are better in terms of the thickness of the heat shield metal and the head pipe flange. However, my Cobra pipes were several hundred dollars less then VH, DD... (try Jake Wilson and search for coupons) and they are stepped and the performance is spot on. The fit and finish is also their and Cobra does have a lifetime Chrome warranty - not that it matters for your black sweeps. And yes, I would buy them again. Hope this helps.

 

Thanks for info. This is the second bad thing I have heard about cobra pipes. The other was the crome peice fell off the end of one of the pipes. Guess I need to look for another set. I am looking for black straight long pipes, (shotgun style) with a chrome end. Any ideas out there?

 

I would not consider any of this "bad". Have seen more expensive pipes do bad things... and look bad and sound bad... These still look like new after a couple years.
