Default D&D Lowcat/Rocker

So I finally got my new pipe on.. I'd like to say thanks to Sara @ Cateye Customs (forum sponsor) for a great price and Leonard @ D&D.. Both were awesome.. Had a couple of hiccups but they worked with me and made it all great.. 1st header would not mount, either with or without gaskets.. Leonard got a new header out to me ASAP and sent a call tag for the return.. Through it all Sara made sure everyone was in touch and made sure it was handled to my satisfaction.. Can't say enough for that kind of service..

So I got into it last nite.. Took about 30 mins to strip the V&H Big Radius 2-1 off and another hour or so to get the new Lowcat on.. Not an easy job, you just had to hold your mouth the right way when trying to get everything to fit in the right spot.. Finish is fantastic and when I fired it up this morning it sounded awesome.. A little higher pitch than the BR at idle but when you get on it WOW! It's got a great tone and volume.. Now I just need to find time this week to hook the TTS up and do a couple of v-tune runs to see if anything major needs changing..

Wow, loooks real good! It flows well with the Rocker. Notice a difference performance wise vs the BR?

Yeah it's time to think about snow Micahop.. It's something we can't escape here.. lol
Mike, I'm all in just need to find the time.. Saturdays are now kinda jacked up with soccer so might just have to take a Friday or something..

Rode the bike tonight finally.. Bottom end is stronger than the V&H but it doesn't wind up as fast it seems.. Maybe I should have gone with the big bore and just let the cam get into the 2500 range fast and use it to build the torque rather than using the pipes back pressure.. Might have to buy a new baffle. Volume it's about the same as the V&H at idle but sounds much better and louder when I hit WFO.. The tone is a little higher but not much.. It's got a unique sound for sure. I like it but it will also take a little getting use to.. Big plus was no decel popping/cackle.. On decel it sounds very deep and throaty..

Now remember I haven't run the tuner yet so I might find a couple of areas to pick up some of the throttle response and a little more power.. Overall I'm real happy with the pipe and the service I got from both D&D and Cateye Customs was top notch..

I am sure you will pick up some low end when you remap it.
