Mustache Bar install issue

i would love to help but...one small problem...i don't have the fatboy anymore, so i can't take a photo for you. So, i will try to explain what we did.
we went to the hardware store and got two conduit pipe straps and spray painted them black. i think we bought longer bolts as well. pretty sure this is all we bought. once you get the parts, it's easy to sit down and see how they go together. i think the straps were both on the outsde of the frame and the mustache bar was on the other side of the frame. this was a very inexpensive and quick fix. i never had issues with it at all. I'm just wishing i'd have taken a picture!
i have tried to attach a photo of the strap. if it doesn't show, email me at jennydawn@q.com and i'll send it that way.

Thank you Junebug69 for your immediate reply. I liked your idea but since I was alone in my garage and didn't have any internet communication, I started experimenting with the bracket and found out that if I bend the 90 degree angled side to approx. 140 degrees, then the problem is solved. The bracket now sits in place and the bolts get through it straight forward. Nevertheless, I really appreciate your help. Thank you again

thanks to a smart neighbor, he came up with another way to attach the bar and it's working great!
I do want to let you all know, though...i ordered this thru ebay, a company called "2 orange harleys"...they have yet to respond to my email. not good customer service.
thanks to all ya'all!
