Thumbs up Deluxe Saddlebags

If anyone is looking for some quality saddlebags for your HD Deluxe, contact Hogdeluxe.com for them. Ask for Mike !!!!
We had been looking for something other than the small HD ones that are available. Ran across this website and had the Solo Bags made for my wifes 2007 Deluxe.
These bags are solid, with Easy Brackets for taking them off in seconds and the studs look great after the bags are off. The quality of the leather is great and the patterns go well with Deluxe seat. What you see on their website is what you get....they fit nice and tight up against the fender and have plenty of room in them. There is no large gap between the fender and bag like some of the others out there we looked at.
We are very satisfied with the product and highly recommend you look at these as you compare.

Likewise, great bags. Deluxe rear guards fit if you move the bags back 1\2"

Hey guys I wanted to add a note on Mikes Bags and what makes them so unique. Mike besides being a "Leather Craftsman" is also a rider as well as innovator. Mike owns a Deluxe and saw that there were many bags on the market of good quality however when mounted to the bike...they stick out too far especially the view from the rear. Below is a picture of how Mike got around this.

You can see by the picture that there is almost 2" of recessed built into the bags. When you have the EZ Brackets (included with bag purchase) they are recessed into the bag vs. just being bolted to the back like on a competitor’s model. Below is a pic of Mikes bags from the rear..

Now by contrast below is a picture of a set of "Boss" bags which are high quality however, when used with a EZ Bracket system...the spacing is just too wide IMO.

Here is another picture a bit clearer of the bracket mounted. NOW...if you want the bag a bit lower and or farther back to mount the springer bars like TAZ mentioned in his post..let Mike know as hes done a ton of these and will know right where to put them. Or, just tell him not to mount the brackets at all and you can do it which is a snap.

In closing one last picture as I was PM'd on how you get to the lock. Below you'll see a key portal where you insert the key with the lid open and its that easy to get the bags off.

Thats it guys. So you know, Im not affiliated with Mike other than he is a great friend, riding buddy and a true craftsman. If youre looking for a set of quality bags for your Deluxe, give Mike a call and hell get you set up!!
