Default lowering problems with my 2010 FXCXC Rocker C

Just purchased a new 2010 FXCWC and had the dealer install a 2" adjustable lowering kit and the would bottom out with my and my girlfriend (im about 170 and shes about 105)
so in an attempt to save my rear fender from any more damage I had them remove the lowering kit but now the bike is a little to tall for my liking as Im a short guy at 5'3

Just wanted some advice on some options I may have. I really need the bike lowered at least 1" but 1.5" or 2" would be better
I have been looking into an air ride (SAS or Platunum air) but thats gonna take some time to get the coin together.
I have been looking at the progressive lowering kit in the time being.
Any in site or advice you may have for me would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance
chris

If you still had the lowering bolts in you could of got a spanner wrench and adjusted your shocks so they would be stiffer

sup fellow illinoisian
i slammed mine 2" w/ lowerin bolts
ride is so so , im lookin into air ride this winter
its the best of both worlds especially if you travel w/a rider on back
otherwise dont risk wreckin yer fender for "looks" at this point
a fxcw seat would be better for you & cheaper as it sits you bout 1-2"
lower in seat rather than on seat, i disliked my seat & bought a fxcw seat BIG difference
good luck keep us posted & get us some pics mang!

thanks for the help guys, cause im new to this as this is my first bike. so at first i have been relying on my local dealer to get all my info and they haven't been the greatest source of knowledge. I'm for sure looking into air ride this winter cause I do ride with a passenger about 50% of the time, I've also been looking at the progressive 442 lowering shocks but I'm not sure about them yet.
Mike with the FXCW seat can i still use the passenger seat or is it just a solo ride?

thanks again for the help guys

I would personally recommend Shotgun shock air ride, no regrets

There are posts and pictures where guys used the Touring System Strut Kit when going 2 up.
Just do a search using, Touring System Strut Kit.

you have to get the 2 up set up,takes 5 minutes to install n yer ready togo
rail has progressives n luvs them, you gatta set them properly otherwise you will be right back where you started and not be happy
i think windeed "made a custom bumpstop in place of stock one to
customize his ride
