I've been waiting for a month for mine too.

I just took the signals off.

Does anyone make a back plate for the tail light with signal mounts?

The rounded portion on the back edge of the side plate interferes with the turn signal at the rear mount. I simply installed the mounts and held the side plate in position to see how much needed to be shaved. I have gloss black side plates and just used some blue painters tape to mark a line and protect the plate at the same time. I estimate approximately 1/4" was removed. I used a bench grinder and ground off to the tape line. I then used a fine file to smooth out the edges. No damage to the plate finish at all. Just take some touch up paint and a small brush to finish the end where the grinder was used. It looks like it came that way now. Those turn signal relocators are ugly when compared to the wedge design of the O.E.M. signals. I highly recommend this modification.

I installed the relocation kit also and I hate it. I'll be doing the backrest mod this winter. Thanks for the pics

I bought the relocation kit, didn't like it so I made my own out of a couple pieces of flat stock. Just drilled holes in each end, bent it and attached it to the most rearward holes in the struts. Most of you wouldn't want it anywhere near your bike but it works for me.

My bike had those already installed. Removed the round spacers and drilled out some threaded stock to run the wires through. Detach sissy bar clears perfect.

I'm looking at the grinded off pics. Doesn't the clamp still get in the way when its closed? I'm looking at my backrest now and after grinding off the part it seems that the clamp would still be in the way of the turn signal?
