Default heritage springer seat on a deluxe ?

ok just won a 98 springer seat on ebay what will have to do to get the seat to work on an 07 deluxe. I have wanted this seat since I sat on a springer at a shop and loved it but loved the deluxe a little better. is it a strait hook up for the seat or will I have to rig it to fit

I have a later year version of this seat and it's an exact fit. I have heard that the earlier versions you may have to bend the front tab a bit to get it to slide into the slot by the gas tank.

This seat not only looks great but it's comfortable as well.

bending will not be a problem. I wanted the fringe and the pipping color I got the full deal on this one only issue I think I will have is that the pad is a 95th anniversary with the patch on it odds are I will take it in to have that re-covered

Mike is right in that you have to bend the tab to fit on the EVO seats.

Bend it by hand.........Just don't put too much force on it...

That's good to know I was going to brake out the heavy gear. This is what I was trying to anticipate whether it would be a snap or a pain

Too much force can snap the seat pan....It's a trial and error thing.....You'll see how the tab should go when you get it....

Very carefully. I think that I used vice grips.

You may want to remove the tab, bend it and re-rivet. Sounds like a real pain in the *** until until you crack the seat pan. Then drilling out the rivets, bending and re-riveting seems like a much easier option.
