Default rear tire straight?

How can you tell if you install the rear straight? I just measured the axle bolts to the end of the swing arm hole. Came out pretty close. Then I ran it on the jack and didnt notice a wobble in the tire. Any true way to check it?
Thanks!!

Default Rear Tire Alignment

I use my digital caliper from Harbor Freight. I placed two locknuts on the rear adjusters with the flat face of the nut facing the machined face of the frame lug. I made sure the nuts were the same distance from the small diameters on the end of the bolts that go into the slot on the axle spacer. That way I can tell the distance by measuring with my calipers. I am sure these flats were done when the bore was done for the swing arm. Harley manual say to have it square with swing arm centerline but how you do that is beyond me since there is a bolt head on one side and a slightly different hex nut on the other. What you really are trying to do is align the rear belt drive pulley with the front belt pulley. When done correctly the belt will be center in rear pulley but can drag slightly on the inner face of the pulley at most. Remember actual alignment has nothing to do with front tire. Alignment will not cause a wobble in this case. Wheel spins on axle bearings.

As long as your belt isn't rubbing the sides of the sprocket you should be OK. So ride a couple of miles, and check belt to see if it's rubbing, adjust accordingly.

A wobble? Like the wheel moving left and right.

If it is a spoked wheel you need to check and re-true if necessary. If it is cast you could have a bent wheel.

Thats not what he asked..

I mark the adjusters before I remove the wheel.. But I also double check it by spinning the back tire while it's up on the jack and look down the side of the belt, and at the pulley to see if you have any side to side movement..

Thats exactly what I did, besides doing the mark, I will have to do that next time, thanks for the tip and the reassurance!
