I did a search and looks like most folks want to go the other way heritage on the deluxe.
I have and 03 Heritage and like the old school look of the solo seat and bar.
I have previously found out that the springer seats are different so I could not use those.
I saw some posts about the bar from the springer working on the Deluxe, so maybe this will not work for me..?
Are people wanting a different seat because the stock Deluxe seat is uncomfortable?

Yes the Springer seats are different but they will fit the 03 Heritage. You just have to drill two holes in the fender as I did, about a 1/2 hours worth of work. You just have to move the wires for the tail lights and turn signals that run up under the rear fender. I love the look and I didn't have any problems putting it on.

 

Seat puts you up close. Most people want to be back a little for more leg room. Some of us do have the springer rail on our deluxes. I like the look of it and will get the backrest soon. I had my seat reworked to put me back and down an inch. The seat is fine for me right now. I just found that I was sitting ON the rear of the seat; so I had it shaved back and down
