Default Extended floor board pans?

I've read on here where the extended floorboard pans from HD for the touring line will work on a FLSTF (even though the dealership says they won't)

For those who have done this, is this a modification's needed or simply bolt-on?

I have them on my Heritage and they were simply bolt on. No issues or modifications other than I used the Harley goody extensions with them.

Bolt right on! Any bagger floorboards will bolt right on unless you have a Cross Bones as the bracket is a little different on the left side. You can still make them work on a bones but need a spacer.

I had them on my Fatboy, along with the extensions from HarleyGoodies. one of the best mod I did. also installed EZ Brake, extended shifter lever and Kuryakyn Mark IIIs. lots of leg room.

I have the Harley Goodies and my WCC Bear Trap II floorboards on my ride. tons of leg room and comfort for days. I sued to run the mark III's with the stock boards and HG until I put a crash bar on when the Mark III's had to come off. It was great too. the crash bar went on with the foot clutch. Imagine that!

Thanks for the replys..

Aviator- I plan on doing all the same except instead of the Mark III's going with Jac-Knife pegs under the boards unless I find that it will hinder corning too much.
