Sundowner Bucket Seat

I'm gonna go the opposite way, and say screw all the Harley seats. My feeling is Harley had the opportunity to put a comfortable seat on my bike when I purchased it. Why should I have to pay them extra money for a better seat? I purchased a Mustang seat for my sportster when I had it and loved it so much, I am rocking one on my new fatboy lo. I say do some research before investing more money with harley on a product they should have done right the first time around. Just my 2 cents, though!

The real issue is that Harley doesn't make a bike that does it all if you are over 35 and if you want to do it all, then you need to own more than one bike. When I was a kid, I rode any bike I had anywhere I wanted to (except motocross) for as long as I wanted to... of course, back then you could stop anywhere and camp along the side of the road an no one would bother you, either.

I was thinking about putting a Sundowner on mine, mostly because I don't like the 2 piece look of the stock Lo seat, and the pillion on the rear is just not wide enough for a passenger on longer trips. Friend of mine has the Sundowner on a Night Train, and it looks great, my only concern is on mine, will it raise the seat height any and push me forward?

Yeah it looks good, and the rider seat is nice but my wife has requested something different for her, she said it wouldn't be bad if it were wider. We had a mustang touring seat on the sportster.
