Performance Machine has one that looks better than any I've ever seen on a bike. They had one installed on a new fat boy at the Vance & Hines booth in Big Bear at the show. Contour cut in black. It'll fit yours.

I'm afraid I'd get my jeans caught in it. No thanks!

Okay...what advantages are there to an open drive? Really, all I see are damaged jeans.

PM and BDL both make great products. i can get you really good pricing on either as well! The PM looks nicer in my opinion as well.

funny thing is BDL makes the PM unit for them. Everything on mine has BDL numbers.
The PM contrast cut unit has a guard all the way across the top, front and back - no caught jeans unless they are already shredded. I also like the sound of it. The PM unit is a 2" belt also.

Cool! Then, as far as my jeans are concerned, it's a safe set-up.

Still, are there any advantages outside of heart-stopping
looks, and adrenaline pumping noises?

I understand those are good advantages in and of themselves (except that one's heart should not stop for too long). But, I would want to be sure it is a definite upgrade from the stock system.

You got me thinking now...
