Oh...Now I feel like an idiot. LOL! Here I was giving you a lot of credit...

I'm not exactly sure what a motor plate is...But, if this is the major cost factor, is there an extreme difference in this between the 2" and 3" models? The price difference seems staggering.

Brett, I understand. I typically have to "weasel" things in as well. Then, a year later, somebody notices. It's tough to explain at that moment...It's kind-of the "don't ask permission, ask forgiveness" tactic.

Not really the 3 inch is about the same cost. And the motor plate is the chunk of aluminum that replaces the inner primary and where the starter mounts up to. One nice thing about an old kick only bike. You can run the setup with no motor plate and the set up is much cheaper.

I have seem them around for a long time and I can only tell you that it is not the best for the clutch assy as they become loud & noisy from no lubrication.

I know this is a couple months late but I'm currently redoing my heritage and 1 place I found a badass open belt drive for a lot less then $3000 is http://www.wpsracing.com/uldrrastbedr.html it runs about $1100. Just thought I'd add that I hate nothing more then to see people over pay for parts. So even if you pay some overly expensive Harley shop to do the work $3000 is way over priced. O and $1100 is for a 3.35" belt with extra Barnett clutch plate the 2" is a few hundred cheaper.
