Default cvo springer rear fender or =????

Ok, so, outside of doing a heartland 250 conversion on a typical softail it seems that trying to get everything together + the cost involved is nearly impossible to get that 240/250 tire on the back of an FXSTC. I also found where the Rocker & Springer have a near identical frame aside from the rake on the front being different, which I think a CVO with a Rocker frame would prolly look pretty flippin awesome!

Done with the rambling, is there anyway to adapt the CVO rear fender to a Heartland 250 kit? I really dig the Bob fender on the FXSTC & would rather not get away from that look. I know somebody is gonna say buy a CVO springer, well, If I could afford that it might be an option, the other problem with that is that I like more of a rake that the cvo has. Other than the CVO, is there an equivalent? Something that'll work with a 240/250 tire in a bob style fender? I hope this wasn't too confusing & I'm sure I'm not alone, if I've thought of it then someone else has too.

Have a welder cut the fender up the middle, add a strip and widen it...... sand out, filler, and repaint..

There's an idea, but will it still work with a heartland kit?

You'll probably have to fill in the existing strut holes and drill out new ones.....Just a guess, as I've never played with the heartland kit

You won't be able to buy the CVO fender from Harley. You would have to provide proof (as in a VIN) to buy parts specific to CVO models. I agree with hspring03...just modify a stock one.

K, sounds like modding a stocker is the only chance. Prolly gonna need 2 stockers, one to cut the center out of and another to weld it back into.

One stocker only....which should be easy to find and cheap off ebay

It gets cut right down the middle and a welder can make and shape a filler strip to widen it and weld it all back together...

I do not think they all follow this. I have CVO mirrors on my FXST and they had no problem ordering them for me.

Either your dealer didn't do their due diligence or it was a part that was made available for sale. Congrat's either way.
