Default Samson Long Tail Instalation HELP PLEASE

Well everything is going good old exhaust off,new crush gaskets installed. new pipes prepped with flanges and snap rings.old exhaust bracket off.And then with that exhaust bracket came the passanger foot peg (right side of bike)which is attached to that bracket. The new samson bracket has no spot for the foot peg.WTF .The bike is a 2010 Softail Deluxe Did something change on the 2010,s.Called Samson they said this is the first they have ever heard of this.Any one else have this problem. And the new shifter rod at the back looks like when i install it the rear heim joint is going to be tilted facing down not straight like the factory one. Is that right???? Thanks Please all replies welcome Tom

Ok so the rear heim joint will be faced at a downwards angle.Samson just got back to me and told me to pop out the plastic plug above the right side foot peg and do the same for the left side.So they will be a little higher? and remove the small metal bracket attached on the left side so they will be even all around. So it seems both pegs will be attached directly to the frame. Is this what you did (and everyone else with samsons)Thanks Tom

Yep its been a year and a half since i installed my pipes. but i do remember just taking off the stock exhaust bracket then popping plastic plug out and installing foot peg(right side). And on the left side using the same spot for peg install.
