I worked with a guy that did it. He was happy as could be with the heritage.

Worst part about the shocks is you have to lie on the ground to get to them (with the special Harley spanner wrench - $10... buy two so you can tighten the nut back up) or you could just have the dealer take care of it for you

Harley ships them really soft, I got 4 1/2 turns out of mine before I bottomed out the threads. It rides stiffer with just me (which I prefer) and just right with the misses (350lbs combined)

I have one of each and have to admit I like the Heritage a little more. It's simply more fun to ride. The Road King is better 2 up imo.
