Default New fork now brakes wont mount!

Hey guys, been a little while since I've posted as I have been gone doing some military training and what not and had to leave the bike project sitting. I finally got a new Ultima inverted front end put on but now I'm having issues trying to mount the brakes. I have dual GMA 4 piston brakes but the adapter that was used on the original fork doesn't work on the new fork. Anyone know if they make a new adapter that will work or if I need to buy new calipers? I've been researching but haven't been able to come up with anything.

The Ultima inverted frontend was designed for a 84-99 FXST (softail standard).. You didnt state what year yours is so you might need a new type of bracket or replace calipers...

I've got this on a 92 FXSTC. I'm hoping i can use a different bracket but I've done all kinds of searching and can't seem to find where or who sells them.

hmmm, that should have just bolted right up... Thats all I did was purchase a caliper for that build and bolted right up no brackets needed..Why do you have a bracket? Do you have some other style (year model) calipers? Maybe?

Well to be honest the bike had a lot of custom work done to it before I bought it. It has dual GMA brakes up front and I doubt they are stock. I'm wondering though if the issue could be because of the front wheel. The bike has a fat boy wheel installed and the caliper mounting bolts do line up with the fork there is just no way to mount it to where the caliper centers on the rotor.

hey hspring,

I think i'm going to have to give Kevin a call. Doesn't seem this fork is suited for a fatter front tire. Prob gonna need something custom. Thanks for the info!
