Default customizing a custom

I have an 08 Softail custom. Will the handle bars allow any risers without changing out cables?
Also someday I want to change to an oversize peanut gas tank how hard is the swap out ?
Does the fuel injection system come into play and what about retaining gauges like speed fuel and such.
Lastly would love to get rid of the ducktail fender seams like a pitb with electrics and all.
How hard is it for a non gear head to do.
Thanks for any input.

Answer to Question #1: If you add the risers to your stock bars, then more than likely you will have to change the cables.
Answer to Question #2 & #3: Your fuel pump and gauge trans are located in the fuel tank. You must be able to mount these items in your replacement tank.

You can replace the rear ducktail fender. There are all kinds of fabricators out there. You can go as far as replacing the fender and the struts. Take a look at the Heartland USA kits available on the web. That will give you an idea.
