Default Fabbed up a side mount license plate bracket tonight..

check it out, made out of some 1/16" plate just sandwhiched between the washer and the locator on the axle.

light as in stop lamp, or something to illuminate the plate?

To illuminate the plate. I went with the Roto-Plate with brakelight and plate light.
That one you're looking at is priced nice. In CA a blue tinted light might get you a second look from Mr. LEO though.

Just a heads up on the lights you have linked there. I have the same thing from custom dynamics, on a curved plate like that they will illuminate the tags/ corners fine but don't really light up the plate much. Never had an issue in Az. but may want to check the Cali. laws say. Nice job on the mount. You going to powdercoat or paint it?
