Earlier this year, I traded my deuce for an '06 Street Glide, more comfort for wife and I. Turns out, she signed up for MSF safety course and she wants to ride. So, bought her a sporty and she's doing well.

Stopped off at local stealership and they were blowing out the '06 models. We had a pick of either the deuce or the softail springer. I missed my deuce terribly, [X(] but after looking at the two bikes, I told my wife to buy one for herself and sell the sporty.

After 2-1/2 hours of deciding, she decided on the springer. I was happy she did. Though I missed my deuce, I could not help but love the chrome springer front end, it's so classy. And the 200 mm rear tire was awesome on the springer too! Then the stealer told me that '06 was the last year for the softail springer (except the SE springer in 07). That also swayed us torward the springer.

Long story short, we drove home with an '06 softail springer, sunglow blue, injected, for $15,300 (How could we pass that up??????)!!!!!![8D]

Now, I get to have a fun bike to blast around town (springer) and an awesome bike to take on longer rides (Streetglide)! Hope the wife let's me ride her new bike, it's awesome![8D]

Congrats on the Springer, I love that front end. Any info if they will bring it back after 2007?

 

No.

No info as of yet. My understanding is that the only one for '07 is the screamin eagle model, and that's it after that. Who knows, It may be a comeback thing like the softail custom - stopped in '94 and started again in '07.

got mine in july only 2 left on the lot, no 07s' yet either. paid msrp, didn't want to chance not being able to find one later. I did get a good deal on some extras but you got a hell of a deal.....

yeah, you got a great deal on that Springer. Bought mine in May, and I just love it. With all that money you saved, you can really trick it out now,

 

Just as a matter of correction...the softail custom ceased production in 1999..that was the last model-year.
