I cast my vote. Personally, at 5'9", I like where my 12.5 inch bars place my hands, right at shoulder level. Only thing I may change is go with 1" taller risers and poly bushings. Other than that, it's all good.

Default Bars are ordered

I just ordered a set of HCC Springer bars. 10" base (same as forks), 14" rise, 8" pullback, black with chrome controls. Should be here in a couple weeks. I'll be sure to post pick as soon as they're on. Thanks for all the advice but The votes were almost at a dead tie so I had to go with my gut. If I decide they aren't tall enough I can always get taller risers.

Default Bars are here,

So my springer apes from Hill Country Customs showed up as promised. I read some earlier complaints about their shipping/ customer service. I had NONE of these problems. I called a placed my Order through Brian and he was extremely helpful in giving advice and recommendations. I received all email notifications and the bars arrived in less than 2 weeks. My only gripe thus far is that I was told the springer bars have a narrower base width, "10 inches". I don't know how the bases are measured, but these are far wider than that. I decided to keep them because for the price, I could do no better anywhere, not only that but the install should only take a few hours and requires no soldering. Overall I am very pleased and think I can live with the wider bars. Pics to follow.

I would definitly go with 16's, I just bought mine from HCC and everything was great. No problems with shipping and installation was easy. Best mod I have done to my heritage. Also for the theme of your bike, I would go with chrome bars and black controls.

My vote is for the 16's, black with chrome controls.. The front end (springer) is already black so the "flow" of the bike would match better in my opinion.. Chrome controls would look good because you have touches of chrome on the bike already..

Default Pics as promised

Here are some pics of the bars on. I'm real happy with the look and feel. The 14's sit at eye level with the 2.5" risers. Total install time was 3.5 hours with 2 people working. HCC's bars came ready to install and the Renthal grips are awesome.

Default Hog4mango

Hog4mango,
your bike has the exact look I am going for. The flow of black/chrome is perfect! Do you mind me asking what air cleaner cover that is? I'm diggin' the rims too.
