I am with you on this one. I love the idea of apes. I am 6'4" and 16's just seen to be to damn high for me. I am considering 12 - 14's for the Deuce. Whatever you end up with, i am looking forward to seeing some pics of the end result. That is a fine bike to begin with.

 

IMO....Black/chrome controls/14's at the shoulders would look sick on the sled.

I'm 6'1" and went with Wild 1 14"s in black, if I had it to do over again I still would've went with 14's.

 

Also 6'1". Had 14" apes for four months. Removed those, sold everything and went with 16" - 1.5" Carlini 'Flying Apes'. Best mod to date!!!

 

The votes are close on all fronts. I am pretty sure 14s are gonna be the way to go for me. Ive looked at countless pictures and this one below in the link inspired me to go with the 14s. It has 13s on it and looks great. I think the 16s look a little to tall on the springer for some reason. Still debating on the black or chrome, mostly because the chrome bars on this particular springer look dam good, but then again, it isn't mine.....damn this is hard.

Nice choice with the 14's....heres a bike with the BurlyBrand 14's 39" wide that im having put on my bike. Perfect style 14" IMO....nice and wide with a 14" center....by the way im 5"10" also...

 

For an everyday riding bike at 5'10".....I'd go 14"
I have 16"s on my barhopper..... I did 150 miles last week..barely enough for a breakfast run.....very uncomfortable....My seat doesn't help...But....the bars are too tall....

 

I first chose all chrome, then I looked at your bike and changed my mind. All black will look better IMO.

 

i've went with 16" flying apes on my 06 deluxe, all chrome.. wish i went even bigger
