Default ***Ordered some J&M speakers for my ride!***

I just pulled the trigger on some J&M MHAS-2008 speakers with built in amplifiers. 80 watts total with built in amps in each speaker and completely sealed. Their stuff is really nice, so I am excited to see how it performs once it arrives. I have been wanting to do this for ages. I said I was done after the new dash and gauges, but you know how it is. They look kind of funny they way they mount stock. I might ahve to make my own mounting barckets for them.

Congrats...
I think you will be pleased with them.
After some 4000 miles I am still very pleased with mine. I firmly believe they are about as good as it gets without a full fairing.

P.S. Judas Priest's "Easy Living" blasting while cruising down a country road is the cat's azz.

Have you tried them without the windshield? If so how does that work out?

Some one on this forum mounted them on the engine guard and it looked pretty good. Without a shield they may be louder on the bars? With your apes - maybe on the guard is better... Look forward to hear how it turns out.

I don't want to have to disassemble my bars to run the wiring internally and do not want it on the outside of the bars either.

Drew, if you run into trouble getting those mounted, let me know and I'll fabricate something up for you.

And make sure the tunes you crank up are good, or I'll make you ride at the back of the pack.

Tuesday works for me. Ought to have mine back together and all polished up by then.

And its all heavy metal rock and roll. None of that gay twinkle toes crap.

I just read about the primary bearing. Bummer dude. Okay, so Metallica, Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, Judas Priest, etc. I am sure that can be arranged.

Sorry, but I never ride without my windshield.
I don't like the taste of bugs...
I personally think it is more important to be bug free than to be cool...
Must mean I am getting old...
That said, They are quite powerful and when mounted on the handlebars are pointed right at your ears. I expect on the handle bars they would work OK until the speeds got pretty high, even without a windshield.
