I am yet to try the radio, although the only radio I will listen to is Pandora on my Iphone. The speakers RETAIL for $499.95 which means I can get them for you for LESS. This was alos psoted in the touring model thread on J&M's. Hmmmm...makes me wonder.

I need to revise my review of the J&M speakers and amp.
I bought them from Phat Performance for about $550.
They get loud, but any amp should do that. When I first installed them I played CDs, they were clear and crisp, sounded good. Lately I have tried the radio, it sounds like crap, I can't stand it. There is no clarity, everything is mumbled, garbled, just plain sounds crappy. I have a $500 dollar radio that only plays CDs, i'm not happy with that.
I recommend DO NOT BUY THESE SPEAKERS. They are not worth the money. They have no clarity.

If they are not and are touring bike speakers why are you slamming them in this thread?
Also the speakers have no idea if the input is coming from a CD or a radio. therefore if the speakers sound good as you stated via a CD and crappy when listening to the radio the answer is pretty simple. You have a crappy radio....
